AI-powered content suggestions

What is AI-suggested content?
Guru’s AI-suggested and recommended content features are designed to bring the right info to your team at the right moment—without requiring them to search for it. By analyzing user activity patterns and applying machine learning, Guru proactively surfaces Guru Cards that are likely to be relevant, helpful, or commonly used in context.
These intelligent suggestions appear across key moments in the product experience: while browsing Guru, while working in external tools via the browser extension, and even within Guru Cards themselves. The result is a experience that feels effortless, personal, and perfectly timed, so your team can spend less time hunting for answers and more time using them.
Where suggestions show up
Guru’s AI-driven content recommendations are woven into multiple parts of the platform to support your team wherever they work.
Recommended Guru Cards, powered by AI
On both the Guru dashboard and Custom Pages, users will see a personalized list of Guru Cards curated by a machine learning model. These recommendations are based on actions they’ve taken (like viewing, favoriting, or commenting on Cards), as well as activity patterns from teammates. It’s a personalized discovery tool designed to surface useful knowledge users may have missed or forgotten.

Related Guru Cards
When viewing a Card, Guru shows “Related Cards” beneath it, based on what other team members have looked at in the same session. For example, if several teammates consistently read Card B shortly after viewing Card A, Guru will show Card B as a related suggestion. This helps connect the dots between frequently used content, guiding users to what’s most helpful.

Suggested Prompts in the Extension
When using the Guru browser extension, users are supported with intelligent Suggested Prompts that help them get better answers, faster. These prompts are designed to guide users on what to ask Guru’s AI-powered answers tool based on common queries, patterns in the content, or the context of what they’re working on.
Users can simply select the generated prompt (or customize it), submit it, and instantly receive AI-generated insights and answers pulled from trusted content from their connected apps, chats, and docs. It’s a seamless way to help teams ask smarter questions and unlock more value from their knowledge without needing to know exactly what to search for.

Why it matters
AI-suggested and recommended content helps your team stay productive by reducing the time spent searching for information. With Guru, content is surfaced where and when it’s needed—whether that’s inside a support ticket, during onboarding, or when drafting an email. It enables faster decision-making, smoother workflows, and greater trust in your internal knowledge.
For businesses, this means less duplicated effort, fewer bottlenecks, and a stronger return on your knowledge investments.
Secure permissions
Guru’s AI-powered suggestions work within the guardrails of your organization’s permissioning and governance settings. Users will only see content they’re already authorized to access, and Guru Cards must be live (not archived) to appear in any recommendations. Verification status continues to be visible on Cards, so users always know if the content is accurate and up to date.

Related Cards are shown based on what other users on your team viewed shortly after reading the current Card. These connections are made session by session, so they reflect real user behavior and learning patterns.
Not directly—Guru learns from implicit feedback, like when users view, copy, or engage with suggested Cards. Over time, the system adapts to improve relevance based on how your team interacts with suggestions.
