What are Guru analytics?

Guru analytics gives you a clear, actionable view into how your team is using content across the platform. From high-level adoption trends to card-level engagement and question-level performance in answers, analytics helps you measure content health, track team usage, and see what’s working (and what’s not).

Whether you’re an Admin keeping tabs on verification, a subject matter expert tracking reach, or a leader making strategic decisions—Guru analytics gives you the data to back it up.

General analytics

Connect the dots across your workspace

Guru automatically tracks activity like card views, search success, verification status, and adoption—so you don’t have to guess what’s happening with your knowledge.

Use pre-built dashboards

Explore dashboards organized into Knowledge Health, Performance, and Guru Impact. They surface trends like most-viewed content, verification score over time, and team-level engagement.

Drill down into usage

Filter by user, group, Collection, time period, and more to answer questions about content effectiveness and team behavior.

Export data or build custom reports

Export tables, set up scheduled reports, or use Guru’s API to pull analytics into tools like Tableau, Looker, or Airtable for deeper analysis.

Custom Page analytics

Admins can now see how users are engaging with Custom Pages—including a table showing total views by Page and a pivot table of views by user. Use filters for time, user, group, and Page name to assess which Pages are most helpful and where improvements are needed.

AI answers analytics

Understand the questions your team is asking and how effectively they’re being answered. Answers analytics includes filters for group, asker, status, assigned expert, and feedback, making it easy to monitor how AI and human input are performing. Export tables and run reports to refine your knowledge strategy.

Why it matters

Understand how your knowledge is working

See what content is getting used (and what isn’t), track adoption over time, and spot gaps in usage or understanding.

Drive smarter decisions

Use data to guide your content strategy, improve enablement programs, and support employee performance and onboarding.

Prove the impact of knowledge

Demonstrate how Guru contributes to team efficiency, content trust, and operational excellence with reporting that shows real results.

Prioritize what needs attention

Verification scores and usage trends help you keep your knowledge base clean, current, and focused on what matters most.

Secure data control

Analytics access is governed by admin settings. By default, only Admins, Workspace Owners, and Authors can view analytics dashboards and Card-level insights. Admins can restrict analytics access further, limiting visibility to admins only. All analytics data stays within the Guru platform or can be exported via our secure API. Guru complies with industry standards like SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. Learn more on our security page.
