What are custom Pages?

Guru Custom Pages are fully editable, AI-powered spaces that act as the central hubs for your team’s knowledge. Whether it’s a company homepage, a department hub, or a project-specific page, Pages let you design and share content that’s both actionable and beautifully presented.

Guru Custom Pages let you design purpose-built spaces that bring your most important content, resources, and AI-powered answers together—right where your team needs them, no extra tools or tab-hopping required. Pages make it easy to highlight what matters, so your team always knows where to look.

How it works

Design your layout using dynamic content blocks

Use drag-and-drop blocks to add rich content blocks, embedded Guru Cards, AI-powered recommendations, and more. Choose from multiple layout formats and color settings to let your specific brand or theme shine.

Control access and visibility

Assign page-level permissions to control who can view, edit, or publish content. Only Admins can adjust viewership, while Page Owners can manage content without full Admin access.

Assign custom Knowledge Agents to deliver tailored answers

Every Page can have a designated Knowledge Agent—an AI trained specifically on the content of that Page—so users get more accurate, context-aware answers right where they’re working. Instead of searching the entire knowledge base, the Agent focuses on the most relevant info for that space.

Say your company has a “Customer Support Hub” Page that includes escalation processes, macro guidance, and product troubleshooting steps. You can assign a Support-specific Knowledge Agent to that Page, ensuring agents get precise, support-focused answers when they search—no noise, no guesswork, just what they need to respond faster and more confidently.

Publish and share

Once your page is ready, publish it for your entire company, or for select teams or members. You can even replace the default Guru dashboard with your custom homepage.

Organize information with Subpages

Create a clear hierarchy by adding Subpages beneath any top-level Page. Whether you’re building out department hubs, project spaces, or onboarding journeys, Subpages help you keep related content neatly grouped and easy to navigate. Just hover over a Page in the sidebar to add a Subpage—it’ll stay in draft mode until you’re ready to publish. With one level of nesting supported today, Subpages let you scale your content structure without overwhelming your team.

Keep everyone aligned with Announcements

Send an announcement to share time-sensitive updates, reminders, or company-wide news directly on your Pages. Whether it’s a policy change, launch date, or weekly recap, announcements ensure your team sees what matters most, right where they’re already working. You can create and update multiple announcements as needed and track exactly who’s read them and who hasn’t so nothing slips through the cracks.

Track engagement

Use Page Analytics to see how your team engages with your content. Monitor views by page or by user to refine and optimize over time.

Why it matters

Create clarity, not clutter

Pages bring structure to your team’s knowledge. By curating relevant content into one accessible hub, you eliminate guesswork and reduce time spent searching.

Personalize how your team accesses knowledge

Design spaces that meet the unique needs of different departments, projects, or roles—without relying on developers or third-party tools.

Scale knowledge sharing with confidence

Give more teams control over their content without giving away the keys to the kingdom. With Page Owners and granular permissions, you stay in control while empowering others.

Measure what matters

Page Analytics help you understand what’s working and where to improve. Get the insights you need to keep content fresh, relevant, and high-impact.

Secure, customizable permissions

Custom Pages are built with enterprise-grade security in mind. Admins maintain full control over who can view, edit, and publish content through explicit page-level permissions, ensuring that access is always intentional and secure.

The Page Owner role allows for distributed content management without granting full Admin privileges, making it easier to scale knowledge ownership across teams. With built-in Page Analytics, Admins can monitor engagement and make informed decisions about content strategy—all while keeping governance tight and visibility clear.

FAQs

You’ve got questions, and we’ve got answers.

Can anyone create a Page in Guru?

Only Admins can create Pages, but they can assign Page Owners to manage specific Pages without giving full Admin access. This makes it easy to scale content management across departments or teams while keeping control and structure intact.

Can I customize who sees or edits a Page?

Yes. Each Page has its own set of permissions, so you can control exactly who can view or edit it. Permissions don’t inherit from other Pages, giving you full flexibility to manage visibility and access.

What kind of content can I add to a Page?

Pages support a wide variety of content blocks—like Featured Cards, images, rich text, embedded iframes, and dynamic blocks powered by Guru (e.g., Recommended for You, Trust Scores, Who To Follow, etc.). You can drag, drop, and customize layouts to match your needs.

Can I make different Pages for different teams or purposes?

Absolutely—that’s why we built Pages! Create as many as you need—like onboarding hubs, product launch spaces, team dashboards, or company-wide homepages. You can even create sub-pages to organize related content under a shared theme.

Can I track how people are using my Pages?

Yes! With Page Analytics, Admins can see which Pages are being viewed, how often, and by whom. These insights help you understand engagement and make informed updates to keep content relevant and useful.
